If you stack the bravery of Sam Battle against the rank cowardice of so many of his fellow white policeman, and really most Americans, I'm not sure you could make a better night-day comparison. There were those who were walking around living a lie by "passing" for white so they wouldn't have to deal with the challenges that were plaguing people of color. This modest-sized book contains much information on the history, properties, manufacture, and value of asbestos. Great price for a used book ,came in good shape and was a great savings for a class that requires 6 books!!!. This book shows what black people had to go through because people like our grandfathers couldn't be better men. Black soldiers fought in World War I and civil rights went backwards; they fought in World War II and were treated with less dignity than German POWs. So it's not "brave," it's something else - it's like the title says - it's "righteous."
