Lisa Di Tommaso has been an Assistant Librarian in the Library of the Natural History Museum, London for over six years, where she has worked with the Earth Sciences, Zoological and General collections. She works closely with the Library's extensive art collection, and particularly its Australian works.

This book also creates the beginning of the cross-over with Jack L. A great gift series/book.. As a general cofee table book it's a welcome addition, but those early teasers promising the 'real story' with suggestions that the popular mythology was quite wide of the mark have really not lived up to expectations and there are no significant revelations. I was so happy to find it, as I was looking for a gardening picture book.
The illustrations are wonderful and the rhyming text naturally spills out of your mouth as read aloud to your child.
There are so many learning opportunities here. Are they invaders, modified from an organism carried in or something that evolved within the facility? Burdick echoes Carlton's call, reminding us that we haven't had enough time to assess the result
