This book really starts with Trace as the central character. I particularly like the technical drawings that show design details and are like a blueprint that can be used to study good design. I've found previous books on the subject to be rather dry and to have rather missed the point - The shows were great fun. Only 40 questions and there were typos throughout. I could have written this book. Heralded as the first American fashion designer. Good information. It gives a good insight into the early days and moves at a brisk pace, without getting too deep or too bland.
The book did leave me wanting more on the individuals, however. There are dozens of internet websites which give more information than what can be found in this book, and I am very disappointed. As the forum reveals, the ill
